Kat Gibson: A Partnership Timeline
Dear wonderful folks of SJB, Over the last five years, you’ve taken part in my work with asylum seekers in a number of different ways. After noting down some of the things that came to mind, I thought I’d share it with you. I love that you’re continuing to support this work, and I’m hopeful that our partnership will continue to be a blessing to many people! In early 2021, I started supporting asylum seekers in hotels in Leicester (as part of the outreach of Roots church;

However, as we go into 2026, due to various factors we are projecting to face a gap between our inco

The Everybody Conference 2025
Earlier this month we gathered together for the Everybody conference and had a blessed time with those from St John's and other churches around the diocese. The focus for the day was the love of God - an endless topic that we could learn about and dwell in forever. It was so special to be together to give God time to let the truth of the enormity of His love settle in our hearts. With a mix of teaching, fellowship, sung worship, and time to reflect, there was also plenty of o
