The Marriage Sessions
We at St John’s Church recognise that lockdown life has been difficult, and marriage can tough at the best of times. You may be in a good place or a more challenging time in your married life. We’d like to offer a opportunity for any married couple to participate in a course to invest in your marriage. We’re running a “Care for the Family” marriage course this Sept, each Monday night via Zoom.
It’s a four-part course exploring how couples can build a lasting relationship. Whether you’re newlyweds or have been married for years, these sessions could help your marriage blossom during these uncertain times – your commitment is an hour and a half each week.
The key themes that are covered in the four sessions are:
CHERISH – the forgotten vow and how to keep your love alive
CONNECT – understanding each other and the art of communication
COLLABORATE – dealing with pressure points and handling conflict well
COMMIT – love is a choice when the going gets tough
Each of the four sessions includes a mix of real-life stories, insight from leading relationship specialists and trusted wisdom from Rob Parsons - founder of Care for the Family. Although run by the church this is not overtly Christian and is open to any married couple.
Put the kettle on, relax, and enjoy The Marriage Sessions.
